The term "modern farmhouse" is bandied about too liberally these days.  But this is the real deal.  This is a house, on a farm and very modern in that it is NET ZERO, provides water collection for the garden and uses standing seam metal siding for most of the exterior to recall the vernacular farmhouses we love in NC as well as providing a wonderfully low maintenance exterior.  Small accents of thermory are placed on the exterior for warmth and contrast and to signify the entrance.
