Charley Harper's Abstracted Nature Art

Charley Harper was a mid century nature artist with a most distinctive abstract style.  Yet no matter how abstract his depictions of animals or nature were, he was careful to be very accurate.for which he was praised by the Audubon Society.  He had his own library of scientific books onwildlife and birds so he could make sure to portray the animals accurately.

Charley produced thousands of paintings, most of which were turned into prints.   I love them all.   "The Ford Times" magazine commissioned many cover art projects from Charley in the 1950's.  The Ford Times prints are prized by collectors.

I have collected Harper prints for years. A dear friend and client, Sally G, gave me one of my most treasured gifts, a Ford Times Harper print that she had inherited from her Mother.
